Accounting Expert with German

Your role: 

The position requires experience in accounting with a working knowledge of IFRS/HGB. Place of work will be in the Susonity office in Warszawa. The tasks shall focus on supporting Susonity legal entities in Germany (production, trading, and corporate services).

Primary tasks:

• Accounting: Support the monitoring of the Legal Entities’ Balance Sheet and P&L (under IFRS) and assist with the preparation of annual statutory accounts in alignment with Susonity Group Accounting & Tax.
• Tax: Assist the central tax function with local tax compliance activities (e.g., data gathering for monthly VAT or income tax).
• Primary interface to Susonity’s Shared Service Centre.
• Support Susonity accounting for other Group entities in Europe as needed.
• Other administrative matters: Support German management and operational functions regarding administrative tasks.
• Reporting line: Locally/hierarchically to the MD of Susonity Poland, functionally to the Susonity Head of Accounting and Consolidation.

Requirements:

• Min. 5 years relevant work experience in accounting roles in manufacturing
• Very good knowledge of German, English and Polish
• Working knowledge of IFRS
• Practical knowledge of tax laws and related hands-on experience
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial analysis and reporting
• Solid know how of SAP (S/4 Hana) and Excel
• Good communication and interpersonal skills in an international context, capable of engaging with diverse internal and external stakeholders
• Education: min. Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting (or similar)
