Your role:
As Senior Account Manager Coatings you are actively managing our customer base in the assigned territory in Spain and Portugal, and you are responsible for acquiring new customers and following up on new leads. You are engaged in establishing long-term client relationships that result in further developing the business while achieving a high level of client satisfaction through outstanding service and expertise. You are great in explaining our products, such as our effect pigments and functional additives to the coatings scientists and formulators and you are motivating them to use our solutions for their coating formulations. You are striving to increase our footprint with the existing customer base, and you are relentlessly looking into increasing your opportunity pipeline and new lead generation in the coating field. You are also very strong in commercial negotiations with local and international customers and familiar with the legal framework of supply and other commercial contracts. You will build on your profound technical expertise as well as in-depth market and competitor insights. You deliver precise, in-time sales forecasts and contribute to our budgeting and strategy setting process.
Who you are:
- Graduate degree in economics or science (preferably coating engineer or chemistry) or equivalent education.
- 5+ years of experience in B2B sales.
- Product and/or market knowledge are highly desirable.
- Proactive, entrepreneurial thinking and acting with a strong sense of the coatings market, its competitive landscape and technology trends.
- Highly self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision.
- Strong communication, selling, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Team player behavior – thinks beyond own target & area.
- Willingness to travel within your sales territory > 40% of your time.
- Fluent in Spanish and English.
